Open to All

Used to indicate that something is available to everyone, not restricted to just a few people. For example: “The library is open to all, so everyone is welcome to come and borrow books.”

We are open to anyone who belongs to the Church of England. There are no entry requirements, we exist simply to provide a safe space for everyone.

It’s really important, especially at this time in the church of England, that we give a warm welcome to everybody, whoever they are.

In the past, some people may have felt that they were not welcome in the church. This goes against long-held traditions that Christians should love each other. We need to reflect the love of Jesus who was loving to the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well (John 4:4-42), and the woman who had committed adultery (John 8:3-11).
