Open to God

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:6-7)

Part of being a Christian is that you surrender yourself to God’s will and work on what God calls you to do. Sometimes this means that you may be called to do something that you really don’t want to do. Whilst this may not be your preferred course of action, there is always a reason for the call, but often you can only see that afterwards.

As Christians, we want to be open to where the Spirit is calling us to go. Sometimes, this can be uncomfortable for us, but we need to have the strength to be receptive, and faith in what we are called to do.
