Having an open heart enables you to work with someone with whom you may hold diametrically opposed views. By listening to others, we can learn the reason that they may have a deeply-held conviction, and allow them access to your own reasons for believing what you do.
Being able to do this in the loving and friendly environment that the Open Synod Group provides can help us to develop our own understanding.
